The certification mark, as used by persons authorized by certifier, certifies that the product has been determined to be acceptable if its safety and usefulness have been established by biological, laboratory and/or clinical evaluations and/or clinical evaluations and meets specifications designated by Applicant's Commission of Ophthalmic Standards (for products where there is no recognized or accepted standard from organizations which set standards, such as the American Nationals Institute (ANSI), the international standards organization (ISO), or American Society for Testing and Materials ((ASTM)).
