The mark is a sound. The mark consists of a sound element made with a combination of sampled sounds, performed digital drums, synthesizer and live bass guitar. It is an original music composition with a sampled riff to open. The initial melody (see score) is a unison melody of live performed bass guitar, and a brass riff sample from a keyboard instrument called Opus Hollywood Brass. There are two octaves of brass, with the bass guitar an octave below in unison. Thus, this portion spans a 3- octave stack. The melody starts in C minor for the first 8 notes, then goes to C Major for two notes, the major 3rd or E then the root note C. These two notes are hand-performed on 3 layers of synthesizer, plus two keyboard brass sounds. Then, there is a hand-performed keyboard sound of a brass fall, two notes C and B flat. The term "fall" is a musical ornamentation, wherein notes bend downward in pitch. The meter is 4/4 and the tempo is 145 beats per minute.
