The mark consists of many elements that are depicted in the design. First, the two hills represent the Texas Hill Country where Fredericksburg, Texas is considered the epicenter. In the center of the logo is the Vereins Kirche, which was the first public building in Fredericksburg, and served as a town hall, school, fort, and a church for all denominations. On either side of the Vereins Kirche, are fields that represent both peach orchards and grape vineyards for which Fredericksburg is well known. Finally, the stars illustrates that Fredericksburg, one of 25 Dark Sky Communities in the US, offers night sky enthusiasts one of the best places to stargaze in Texas.
Color is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
