The mark consists of The mark consists of a tall rectangle design open at the top and bottom, the rectangle is created by four long arrows going around in a clockwise motion, with two long arrows on each side and slightly curving around the top and bottom corners to create the rectangle shape mostly open at the top and bottom, a stylized sunflower blossom appears in the interior upper half of the rectangle and a stylized plot of ground, created by a square with rounded lower corners following the curves of the bottom of the rectangle, and having a sunflower root cut out of the plot of ground inside, appears in the interior lower half of the rectangle.
The certification mark, as used or intended to be used by persons authorized by the certifier, certifies that the goods and/or services provided were organically grown, processed and produced in accordance with the National Organic Program, 7 CFR 205 and that the grower, processor or producer practices a program of long term ecological soil management and in the case of meat and poultry, practices a program of stress reduction and good nutrition to maximize animal health.
