38 Ultimate Polymer is the trade name for a signage process and product featuring raised letters (plus Grade II Braille, as needed) where the first 1/32" of a polymer substrate is removed leaving letters, symbols and Grade II Braille dots. The substrate is then painted a primary color, the raised copy tipped in a secondary color, and a protective clear coat is applied to the entire sign. If appropriate standards/requirements are followed, the resulting product will comply with federal standards for a room identification sign per the Americans With Disabilities Act
