The mark consists of a stylized pumpkin with the words "GROWN LOCAL" superimposed thereon.
The certification mark, as used by authorized persons, certifies that food products, farmed products, food bi-products, processed food products, and distribution services sold and/or performed in connection with the GROWN LOCAL certification mark are certified to be grown, produced, processed at, or distributed from a physical location that is reasonably determined to be local with respect to a physical location of the typical consumer of such products. Authorized persons include farms, food producers, food processors, and food distribution services. Food and food bi-products include, but are not limited to: fresh produce, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, sprouts, meats, eggs, cheese, milk, dairy, foraged plants, and hunted, fished, or wild caught meats. Farmed products include any value added farm good and any locally grown and/or processed farm good. Processed food products include, but are not limited to, raw, frozen, dehydrated, cut, mixed, canned, jarred, baked, fried, cooked farm food product, farm product, and/or food bi-product without regard to method of preparation. Examples of processed food products include frozen berries, fruit leather, juice, popsicles, smoothies, granola, flour, grains, jerky, jam, pies, pesto, soups, sauces, milk, butter, cheese, cooked beef, cooked pork, cooked chicken, cooked fish, and cooked turkey. Food bi-products include, but are not limited to, dried grains for feed, seed, soil amendments, and fertilizer products. Food distribution services include any carrier or transportation service, including but not limited to truck, boat, plane, or train service, that carries or transports food products, farmed products, food bi- products, or processed food products.
