The mark consists of a double lined black circle, with the inner circle line thickness four times thicker than the outer circle. The words "ROCKY RHODE" are in a downward arc across the top of the inner circle with an small image of the state of Rhode Island separating the two words. At the bottom of the circle in an upward arc are the words "OYSTER CO". inside the circle and "NARRAGANSETT, RHODE ISLAND" in an upward arc outside the circle. In the center of the mark is a smiling oyster farmer dressed in a floppy hat, short sleeved shirt and pants with the bottoms rolled up. The farmer is standing in the ocean surf holding a bag of oysters in each outstretched arm. Horizontal lines representing the ocean surface are drawn behind the farmer stretching to the horizon.
