The mark consists of a thick outline of an oval. In the top arch of the oval is the wording AZORES ISLAND GIRL in an uppercase font. In the bottom arch of the oval is the wording Saudade in a cursive font. There are flowers with long stems that have leaves on them to each side of the wording Saudade. There are four completely shaded circles to the sides of the flowers. Inside the oval is a stylized image of a girl. She is wearing a head-wrap and her hair is peaking out from the front. She has blushed cheeks, three eyelashes on each eye, and is smiling. The girl is wearing earrings. Her shirt has a criss-cross pattern along the edge of sleeves and along the neckline. There is a zig-zag pattern going down the middle of her shirt. There are flowers with long stems with leaves on the shoulders of the shirt. There is some shading found on the inside of her arms and hands, below her chin, and on the head-wrap. Her skirt has a plaid pattern. Below the plaid pattern there is a wavy line.
