The mark consists of an eagle with outspread wings, facing straight ahead and poised with a powerful demeanor. The underside of the eagle's beak is resting in the middle of, and on two rectangles, one of the rectangles is a partially shaded black rectangle containing white text "HARLEY-BLADE" and the other rectangle is an orange rectangle around the outer border partially shaded black rectangle. The colors brown and black are found throughout the outspread wings of the eagle with brown being the most prevalent. Black also appears in the open mouth of the eagle, the eagle's pupils, the eagle's beak nostrils, in the eagle's inner eye creases and above both eyes forming an upward slant. Black also forms an inverted widow's peak extending to approximately one half up the middle of the eagle's forehead. Black is also the color of the partially shaded rectangle. Yellow is the color of the eagle's eyes and beak. White is on the eagle's head and on the text and hyphen that is in the partially shaded black rectangle. Orange is the outer rectangle that borders the inner partially shaded rectangle. Gray is found on the sides and underneath the eagle's eyes and on both sides of the eagle's face.
