The mark consists of the stylized wording "LIGHTNING" above the stylized wording "HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE", where there is a horizontal line on either side of the wording "HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE". The aforementioned wording is contained within a banner. The banner stretches across and is above the stylized design of a shield, where the shield has several borders, and an inner portion that is filled with vertical lines. The inner lined portion contains the design of crossed hockey sticks above the design of a hockey puck. The crossed sticks are partially obscured by the banner, and the hockey puck is below the banner. On the inner shield portion, and above the banner and crossed hockey sticks, is the stylized design of a thunderbolt crossing a circle, where there is a small dot at the lower right of the circle. On top of the second, thicker border of the shield is the stylized wording "TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING", where there is a dot on either side of the wording "TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING". Also, a line runs up the middle of the second, thicker shield border and follows the shape of the left, bottom, and right sides of the border.
Color is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
