The mark consists of an outer circle outlined in black with a blue background and words in all upper-case, white letters reading "AMERICAN DISC JOCKEY" across the top with a white, five-pointed star before and after that phrase, and the word "ASSOCIATION" on the bottom of the circle. An inner circle also outlined in black consists of a red and white striped background stylized to give the appearance of a United States flag waving. Those horizontal stripes consist of three each of red and white, alternating, with red on top and ending with white on the bottom. The red and white stripes are also irregular and shaded in parts, to give the appearance of a flag waving in the wind. On top of the flag background are the upper-case letters, in black with a white outline, "ADJA" where the "A's" on either end are smaller than the "DJ" in the middle, so as to emphasize the "DJ" portion of the mark. The white area appearing outside of the outer circle represents background and is not part of the mark.
The color(s) blue, red, white, and black is/are claimed as a feature of the mark.
