On top of the plaque are overlapping rectangles arranged in four tiers. Hanging below the plaque is a row of four rectangles that touch on the sides; the two on the left each contain three vertical lines of differing length in the top left corner and the two on the right each contain three vertical lines of differing length in the top right corner. Hanging below those rectangles is a second row of four longer, thinner rectangles that touch on the sides. The wording "NEW YORKER" shown in broken lines inside the plaque serves only to show placement of wording and is not a feature of the mark.
