The mark consists of the entire logo is emblazoned upon a white backdrop. The top banner carries a bright gold border, enclosing a field of black upon which the word "DISCIPLES" appears in white letters consistent with the backdrop. The rectangle containing the word "OF" is likewise rimmed in bright gold with white lettering consistent with the logo backdrop. The oval, on which is centered the three dimensional cross is too rimmed in gold, with a black background on which is centered the three dimensional cross outlined in white with the letters "M." and "C." in white as well. Positioned on the upper intersection of the cross, hanging down to just below the lower intersection of the cross, is a ring of thorns colored in lavender. Positioned on the upper portion of the front of the cross is an aqua colored circle itself intersected by a wavy white sash. Just below the oval, appears another banner equal in length to the top banner containing the word "DISCIPLES" which lower banner contains the word "CHRIST" in white letters against the rich black background with the banner itself bordered in bright gold. Immediately below this lower banner appears the final banner, itself equal in length to the upper and lower banners with this banner showcasing in bright white letters "PHILADELPHIA, PA". The lining shown in the drawing is a feature of the mark.
