The mark consists of an opaque rectangle with rounded corners where the name "BACK OF THE BAY" is in contrasting block letters; the rectangle has a budding hump on top to frame the "BACK OF" letters, which are immediately above "THE BAY" letters; the letters in "BAY" are larger than the letters in "THE"; the letters in "THE" are larger than "BACK OF"; there is a non-shaded oval text bubble connected to the bottom of the main rectangle that frames the words "STATEN ISLAND"; the "STATEN ISLAND" letters are contrasting block letters in italic with contrasted outlining, and also smaller than the "BACK OF" letters; the bottom oval is filled in with an opaque background similar to the main rectangle; the bottom oval moreover has a point on its bottom side; in the rectangle, the upper hump, and the oval below, there are contrasted streaks along the outlines framing the letters; above and connected to the top of the upper hump is an oval, with a transparent background, that has opaque "BB" letters that are interlocking with one another; the "BB" letters have five opaque lines to the left and to the right but within the oval; finally, the entire mark has an opaque bold outline.
