The mark consists of a blue circular ring with a thin black outline, around which a yellow rope creates the outer boundary. The words "MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS COMMAND EAST" appear in white within the blue circular ring and two white five-pointed stars separate the term "EAST" from the rest of the wording. Within the blue circular ring is a white circle containing an emblem comprised of a gold, black and white eagle perched atop a black and white lined globe showing North and South America in gold with a thin black outline. The saber with the hilt on the left is grey, gold and yellow with a thin black outline, while the saber with the hilt on the right is grey, gold, yellow and black with the saber blade having a thin black outline. A banner of red and gold containing the gold wording "MCIEAST" appears beneath the shield design and is partially draped over the lower portions of the crossed sabers.
