The mark consists of a two-part label. The top part of the label is a four-sided figure with a trapezoidal bottom and sides and a rounded top edge. The figure is just slightly wider across the top than across the bottom. There is a single band across the top and the bottom of this upper label, and then inside that, there are four thin borders around the entire outside outline of the upper label. Inside the borders, at the top, is the word "JAMESON" in distinctive stylized lettering with partial outlining that makes the letters appear to be three-dimensional. The letters are assembled to form an Arch in large capital letters. Underneath that is a shield. The top edge of the shield extends out in points to the left and right, and the bottom outline of the shield comes to a point in the center. The shield is crossed diagonally by two bands in an "X" shape. Overlapping the upper quadrant of the shield is a triple-masted sail boat. In the left and right quadrants formed by the "X" is an anchor. In the bottom quadrant is a star. Under the shield is a ribbon or banner with the words "SINE METU". Below the shield and ribbon are the words "Triple Distilled" in script, and below that is a wide rectangle with three thin borders around the edges. Below that are two short columns of words. On the left are the words: "THE MASTER BLENDER'S SPECIAL SELECTION OF VERY OLD JAMESON IRISH WHISKEY". On the right are the words: "A RARE WHISKEY MATURED IN HAND PICKED OAK CASKS FOR AT LEAST EIGHTEEN YEARS". Below the left column is a round seal with a thin border around the outer edge and another thin border around the center of the seal. Between the outer and inner borders are the words "JOHN JAMESON & SON LIMITED", and inside the inner border are the initials "JJ&S". The first "J" overlaps the inner border of the seal on the left, and the "S" overlaps the inner border on the right. Extending out from the right side of the seal to the right border of the label is a ribbon. There are numerous stripes running across the ribbon. On the left side of the ribbon, close to the seal, are the words "John Jameson & Son" in script. The bottom part of the label consists of a rectangle the same width as the bottom of the upper part of the label. This rectangle is not very high, and it has three bands each at the top and bottom edges. The outermost band is somewhat wider, and the two inner bands are narrower. On the left side of the rectangle are two human figures standing on a line, facing one another, and each carrying a whiskey barrel on his shoulder. On the right side of the rectangle are the words "ESTABLISHED IN 1780, THE BOW STREET DISTILLERY DUBLIN 7 IRELAND". At the center of the rectangle, overlapping the upper and lower edges, is a circle that has a somewhat wide outer border, and two narrow inner borders. Inside the circle is the date "1780" with the word "ESTABLISHED" written in Arched lettering above the date and in inverted Arched lettering below the date.
