"The Monkey Wrench Tool Co". are developing an ENTIRELY NEW "Clip and Solder" device to enable plumbers to solder copper pipes incorporating the following features and benefits. "Clip and Solder" Product Description The Monkey Wrench Tool Co. "Clip and Solder" device consists of a Polished, Curved Aluminum Reflective Shield to reflect Blow-Torch heat back to the rear of the pipes being soldered, thereby enabling faster and more thorough soldered joints. Attached to the rear of the reflective shield is a layer of Heat Resistant Carbon Felt which serves the purpose of preventing the high temperatures at the reflector side from radiating through the rear of the shield, thereby addressing safety issues related to heat transfer to the surrounding areas. Additionally the "Clip and Solder" device incorporates a Clip Mechanism, enabling the Plumber to attach the Reflector Shield directly to the Pipe to be soldered. An optional Flex-Arm with Remote Clip also enables the "Clip and Solder" device to be attached securely to suitable mounting points within a 10" radius of the pipes to be joined. "Clip and Solder" Features Controlled, Reflective Heat Management. ? Dished Reflector safely re-directs heat away from flammable surfaces and towards work area. ? Mirror image. no need for flashlight and inspection mirror !! (clearly see reverse side of join !!) ? Easily cleaned and polished. Resists Acid Flux and Solder. ? Fits 1/2" thru 1" tube sizes. A Flame-Shield with optional Flex-Arm and Remote Clip.. ? Remote Clipping to a variety of shapes and surfaces. ? Adjustable for length, secure rotational and linear hold when "Clipped".
