The mark consists of a circle whose narrow outer rim is black. Outside of the circle but detached, are thirteen dark red triangles surrounding the circle. On the inside of the circle, next to the black rim is a wider dark red band with the words FRANCHISE RESEARCH INSTITUTE in capitalized white block lettering in a semi-circle covering the upper two-thirds of the circle. On the inside of the wide dark red band is a very narrow black band. On the inside of that narrow black band is a white narrow band.
