The upper section above the arcuate band consists of a black field, and the lower section below the arcuate band consists of a gray field. The arcuate band itself is generally red and comprises a gradient change in tonal value from an upper portion of the arcuate band, which blends into the black field and is generally darker than medial and lower portions of the arcuate band.
