35 Promoting public awareness regarding the welfare of children in the after-school environment; promoting public awareness and especially awareness between public/private school systems, educators, administrators, and the general public of the need for such united efforts as will secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education in the after-school environment, including the coordination of efforts and lobbying for the establishment of nationwide industry standards and procedures such as mandatory criteria and requirements for assessment, testing, analysis, evaluation, background checks, certification, licensure, continuing education, recertification and relicensure of enrichment teachers, administrators, association members and others; association services, namely, promoting and developing the interests of enrichment teachers, administrators and association members through the admission of members to the association and the establishment of standards and procedures for the assessment, testing, analysis, evaluation, background checks, certification, licensure, continuing education, recertification and relicensure of enrichment teachers, administrators, association members and others
