The mark consists of stylized capital letters, superimposed and centered over a rounded rectangular banner and stripes, which capital letters spell the words "humboldt", with the "h" of "humboldt" being larger in font than the rest of the letters and having its left side in the shape of a conifer tree; with the stripes supra-imposed behind the word "humboldt", having their beginning behind the "o" of "humboldt" and extending to the edge of the banner in the manner of sunbeams, one beam extending beyond the right side of the banner; directly underneath the word "humboldt" and centered, in the same size font as the foregoing, stylized letters spelling "county lights", with the "c" of "county" and the "s" of "lights" extending beyond the rounded rectangular banner; the banner having an outline running inside its circumference and including the extended "s", "c", and extended sunbeam ray, and flowing below and outside the lower left hand side of the banner into the shape of an electrical cord extending along the bottom of the banner towards the right side and culminating in the shape of an electrical plug.
