The mark consists of an oval which is primarily green surrounding a representation of a lobster which is primarily red. The word "Down east" is presented in black in all capital letters extending across and beyond the top of the oval above the representation of the lobster. The letters of the word "Down east" vary in size so that the word resembles the shape of waves in water with the "D'' and the "T" representing the peak of two adjacent waves and the remaining letters representing the trough between the peaks of two waves. The words "Specialty Lobster Products" are presented in black, all capital letters and are positioned within the oval and below the representation of the lobster. Random blue shapes are present at various locations throughout the oval.
