The trademark consists of a ribbon shape formed into a single loop around itself. The right-hand leg of the loop crosses over the left-hand leg of the loop. Applicant's mark and goods are distinguished in the marketplace by two features. First, they have a base material of a reflective metallic foil rather than a white vinyl background, which produces a highly reflective, radiant and metallic property. Lighting and in particular sunlight, striking the mark are broadcast back at the viewer. Second, the mark always has a metallic edge or border, which flares and flashes with extreme brightness in the sunlight, and therefore attracts the viewer's eye to the mark and gives the mark its distinctive look and a psychological association with the military by associative concepts such as military dress-swords and hardware such as tanks, armor, ammunition, and the like. While the interior coloration (indicated by the solid black area in the drawing) may vary, the reflective metallic foil edge/border (indicated by white space inside the boundary lines around the black areas in the drawing) and the reflective metallic underlying base material upon which the interior coloration and edge/border are printed in solid or translucent ink, remains constant as a unifying element and as an element and feature which distinguishes the mark from others. The internal field may take on any coloration, color combination, or color gradient. The foil background may be of any color (silver, iridescent, gold, purple, etc) or laser-etched pattern, or of no laser-etched pattern.
