Japanese characters for and the wording for "International Karate Association"
The non-Latin characters in the "v-shaped" portion of the Mark transliterate to "BU TOKU KAN", meaning "Power Victory Mansion" in English. The non-Latin characters in the lower portion of the Mark transliterate to "KOKU SAI KARA TE DO", meaning "International Karate Way". That latter word "DO or Way" may also be reasonably translated as "collective effort toward a goal", i.e., "association". Thus, the lower characters may be understood to mean "International Karate Association".
