Color is claimed as a feature of the mark which consists of the colors black, white, red and gold as follows-- the oval in a vertical position on the right side of the design consists of a black outer oval band, a white inner oval band and a black oval center; in each of the two long diagonal portions the top stripe is black, the next stripe below it is white, the next thin stripe is gold, the next stripe.is white, the next much wider stripe is black containing within it the foreign language words for "Soviet Sparkling" in white letters, and the bottom stripe is gold; the central round portion of the design consists of an outer gold circular band, a black circular band inside that, a thin white circular band inside that, a thin black circular band inside that, a thin white circular band inside that, a wide black circular band inside that with white lettering within it containing the foreign language words for "Made In Latvia" and "Riga", a thin white circular band inside that, a thin black circular band inside that, a thin white circular band inside that, and a red inner circular area containing a design of grape leaves in black with white highlights.
The identical foreign language wording on each long diagonal portion of the design mark translates into English as "Soviet Sparkling". The foreign language wording around the top of the central round portion of the design translates into English as "Made in Latvia" and the foreign language wording around the bottom of the central round portion of the design translates into English as "Riga".
