The certification mark, as intended to be used by persons authorized by the certifier, is intended to certify that such persons have satisfied the certifier's requirements for practice in the specialty of hospice care nursing, and that as such, each of such persons (i) has been engaged as a registered nurse in hospice nursing practice full time for at least two years (or the equivalent of 4000 hours over at least a two year period), (ii) has successfully passed an examination prepared and reviewed by a National Board for Certification of Hospice Nurses and related to the person's qualifications to provide hospice care nursing services, and (iii) has met other qualifications set by the certifier which establish that such persons are competent and qualified to provide hospice care nursing services.
