The certification mark, as used by persons authorized by Applicant, will certify that the product has been determined to be acceptable if its safety and usefulness have been established by biological, laboratory and/or clinical evaluations and meets specifications designated by Applicant's Commission on Ophthalmic Standards (for products where there is no recognized or accepted standard from organizations which set standards, such as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the International Standards Organization (ISO), or the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
